Orange County - Navel Gazing - Layoffs and Furloughs Soon To Hit OC Prosecutors & Investigators

Wish I could say I feel sorry for them, but I've never met a DA that had a feeling so I doubt they care.

I will add that it couldn't happen to a bigger group of fascist bots.

How to Solar Power

How to Solar Power

A lot of solar sites are trying to sell a make your own solar cell for under $200 solar kit.

I think those programs give solar a bad name. Every situation is different. If you are living off the grid and can implement solar as part of your energy system, low cost panels may be part of the solution.

The cells are only one part of a solar system, which should only be implemented after all conservation strategies are applied.

An effective strategy for an efficient solar system is to analyze the monthly bills. If you are not spending over $300 per month for gas and electric, you will be hard pressed to recoup your money.

If you are, does the usage vary over the course of the year? This would lead to the discovery that gas for the furnace goes up in the winter and electricity for the air conditioner goes up in the summer, better insulation, energy efficient windows and room monitored temperature control would be the first course of action. I know, it's not as sexy as solar, but we are trying to minimize usage through efficiency and then implement alternative energy sources as a rational way to implement an energy plan.

Which then leads us to the use of solar. Do your homework - if you don't do the first step, these steps are pointless.
Panels usually come with a 25 year warranty. Look for some of the new solutions being implemented. Solar panels that also function as new roofing. Soon, a paint like application will become available.

Also, remember when you are implementing a solar system, the cost of power will rise. So while you have set up an expensive system today - in 10 years, the cost of your power will double and you will be paying the same set price from when you implemented the system.

Some of the other expensive initial costs are the plans and permits from both the city and state, but also the agreement with your energy company. While we can only get a credit to make the bill go to 0, we should expect that those will rules will change on the next 10 -15 years as utility companies continue to increase fees.

Also the inverted which converts the current adn tie-in system to connect to your meter will add expenses to the cost of a solar system.

Luckily, rocket scientists already figured these systems out. Current state and federal subsidies as well as thr declining prices in the ocmponents continue to make solar more attractive.

You can help - if you are a homeowner, look into adding a solar system, lobby your city and state officials, tell your neighbors to do the same.

Try to push the social media networks on this topic - internet buzz affects some politicians. I follow on twitter at howtosolarpower and run a blog site at http://www.howtosolarpower.com.

Push for lobbyist reforms - I am at my http://arnoldboxing.com/DaTerminator blog.

Hope I helped,
